Officials Investigate Student Brawls

Student BrawlsAntigua St. John's - The Ministry of Education has its hands full as yet another video has surfaced of students fighting.

Its release came just days after a brawl between two girls at a public secondary school went viral on Facebook.

This latest recording again involves two girls from another secondary institution tussling on the school’s property. But it did not come to blows, as fellow students stepped in to quell the incident.

According to reports, there appears to be a Facebook page dedicated to displaying videos of students displaying anti-social behaviour.

Earlier this week, education officials indicated said they had started an investigation into a fight posted on Facebook involving two girls who attend a government school, dressed in their uniforms and brawling.

Recordings of fights being posted on social media appear to be a popular trend not only in Antigua. Last month, a brawl involving 10 female students from a school in Trinidad, that was seen by thousands on Facebook, led to their suspension, while an investigation is underway.

In support of Abs, they should be expelled or even a slap on the rest of suspicion and community services (cleaning up the environs they were fighting at) and counselling.

We (should not) becoming too much like big countries who spare the rod and spoil the child and do not expel but counsels; and few weeks later they weeping of high increases of smart guns in the classrooms and students in the graves.

Spare the rod, spoil the child (destroy the nation!)

wake me up when it comes to that! :zzz

Expelling doesn't solve the problem. What is needed is for the girls and the the schools to have a trained counsellor visit the schools regular and help them deal with the anger problems.

This is a challenge, but it will take all persons, including parents and pastors too!
