Author to Sign Book on Grandmothers

Grandmother-Book-CoverAntigua St John's - Regina Vincent Clark, EdD, author-playwright-poet, will read excerpts from and sign copies of From Grandmother, With Love, a wonderful gift book for children, mothers, and grandmothers, on Saturday, May 5, at 5:30 pm at the Best of Books, Village Walk, Friar’s Hill Road.

Released in time for Mother’s Day, the book was described as entertaining, true to heart, and a treasure for generations to come.

The wonderfully illustrated book features mothers and grandmothers from several different countries, including many from Antigua. Willie English of Anniston, Alabama, who reviewed an advance copy, noted, “Kudos to Dr Clark… this book transcends all cultures and ethnicities… Abuela, Me'Me', Oma, Nonna, ChaCha, NaiNai, Bedstemor, Grandmama, Nana, Memaw. ... this book is a dedication to  grandmothers everywhere. A must read.”

Clark, a native of Talladega, Alabama, is currently living and working in Antigua. The author of four books, three stage productions, and two spoken word CDs, she is an effective and powerful speaker, educator, and consultant who has successfully worked in higher education and communications for more than 30 years (as founder of  JCV Communications, Inc and as a television broadcaster in the 70s).

Clark  has helped students, professionals, and first-time authors nationwide with interpersonal/public speaking skills and publishing their first manuscripts. Her coaching has resulted in building presentation confidence and effectiveness, attitude, and leadership styles that has ultimately resulted in her clients’ personal and professional effectiveness.

In 2011, she and daughter Nicholle Brock founded Family Dynamics Foundation, Inc, an organisation that offers “Loving Me More” - personal development for girls, and male mentoring workshops for young males.
