Jaycees Preparation in High Gear

Jaycees Caribbean Queen ShowAntigua St. John's - The 2013 Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show Committee is reportedly in high gear, as JCI Antigua prepares to present its annual production.

The show, which represents Caribbean unity through the participation of women from across the region displaying music, drama, talent, and cultural expression brings us together as one region while fostering unity among our Caribbean islands.

The 2013 Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show Committee has begun preparations to host the 52nd Annual Show on Friday August 2. A pre-show will also be staged on Wednesday July 31.

JCI Antigua has formally adopted its branded tagline, “Integrating the Caribbean through Pageantry,” which represents what the organisation has been doing for the last 51 years. However, the theme for this year’s production is “Where the Stars Shine”.

Alexis Murray sits as chairperson for the 2013 Jaycees Queen Show.

The committee expects participation from at least 15 countries. However, 11 countries have confirmed to-date: Antigua & Barbuda, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Montserrat, Trinidad & Tobago, St Martin, Barbados, St Kitts & Nevis, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Anguilla, and the USA.

This year promises to be an exciting event and plans have entered into high gear to present an excellent package, in contribution to the 2013 Antigua & Barbuda Carnival celebrations.

The Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show Committee expresses thanked its many donors and sponsors. A release said so far, sponsorship has been secured from Ayoushe, Selkridge Insurance, Glennette’s Beauty, ACT, Kennedy’s Club, Top Ranking, and PKB Bank Ltd.
