Each of the players learns from famous opera masters. For more than 20 years, they have quested after a perfect shaping of each character, deep comprehension of their roles, and perfection of each play.

Each member lays particular emphasis on the ability to synthesize the souls of several schools of Beijing Opera as well as present fresh and clear characters on stage.

The troupe serves as a bridge to inherit and accumulate the amazing experience of Beijing Opera. Leading and supporting actors cooperate well on stage; striving to relate to one another as fish to water.

This is an amazing government. They bring in a Chinese Troupe to compete with the country's official Independence programme. Last evening there was the Festival of Choirs - part of the Official Independence programme and yet this same Government was appealing to people to support the Chinese show. And a mass of Police were around the Chinese show and not one policeman could be seen outside the Festival of Choirs, even though there were hundreds of vehicles parked around Michael's Mount. At Carnival time, we curse when Caribbean groups come in to compete with local bands, but I suppose the Chinese are different.
I applaud Antiguans for dissing the Chinese show.

Would have loved to see that. Why wasn't it advertised more? It's not that we have performances like these every day...
