Observer, I never expected anything better, from a dutty mouth vagabond that sold his soul for a political party. So like leader so like supporter you sound like a child, with out discipline or a sense of direction. You lash out at every one who has a different views other than yours and your party. This is a democratic society in case your didn't know. This is telling me that you have some serious growing up to do and you crave attention. What happen the baby needs his bobo. So, boy, I believe you have to be 18yrs. to vote, election is on Thursday so do so fast. And as far as the "F" you goes, please don't bend down around Axxt, you know when he is drunk he pulls out and ** any where!

Support your party if your support your party but how can ANYONE with a conscience tell me they would want a government where this guys is a powerhouse again and tell me they care for Antigua ??

Them a lie to me and to themselves, this guy has it in his mind that all people in Antigua have a price and he treats them all like dirt and expects to buy and sell them when ready.

I am sure he looks at the election and says to himself look at all those people I bought for peanuts. Nobody could tell me them care for Antigua and want this fella in government.

VOTE UPP AND SAVE ANTIGUA FROM ASOT !!!!!!

This is not a News Paper

#34 Martin » 2014-06-09 08:42

You are not a newspaper if you only take about one party and can not talk about
the other.. everything you talk about is the ABLP and nothing about the UPP.. I do not have A SHORT MEMORY like 96% of Antiguan MR BIRD said Antigua learn to forget.. and I have learn that antigua love money so much that you can buy them to forget what every you have done to them.. They will look the other way and see they next door neighbor. I have seen my mother help many people when they were down and they never look back a her, so now I have learn not to help any one, due to the fact of the short memory they have shown me Antiguan have. To BE A GOOD NEWS PAPER YOU HAVE TO GIVE THE WHOLE STORY and tell Antigua they must learn to read and stop minding people business and respect each other everyone is not alike.. stop dropping words at each other.. then you will become a COUNTRY.. not a one sided place.. The Church must learn to respect the words of the Bible and stop the words of of hate.. who with sin cast the first stone..

And by "light" you mean the UPP. When you ask God for anything remember one thing, He is not mocked and He know the hearts of men. The UPP is not clean either so there is no "light" in them as well because light cannot dwell with darkness (in any amount). This election cannot be won on the basis of corruption because both parties have failed in that regard. I will say this, if the ABLP wins, Caribarena would have played right into the ABLPs hands because skeletons can only harm you if they are in the closet. The UPP on the other hand would have a large migraine. That is why one should not throw stones. I pray only that God's will be done come June 12...whether blue or red wins I want God to continue to show His mercy to us for the evil that we so callously portray amongst each other.

Longer than the children of Israel did. And that will be your survivor. Perhaps you will find a spring of Cooks Pond water as well. Don’t drink too much of that though.

One hundred thousand thumbs up. Sometimes I am tired to drive home the point. The UPP got their chance. They blew it. We didn't get what they promised. If they really had dealth with corruption they would have reigned a thousand years. But they came and did the same thing and worse yet they refuse any investigation into themselves. Not even when you can see that things are not right. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was the WPP. They even went as far the bring the Chinese ambassador in disrepute. Telling blatant lies that the plant is new. The German Mann consultant came and went and his report was never made public. CA showed us all the pictures of a plant with many defect that was suppose to be new. And yet all was swept under the carpet. Give me a break this is corruption at the highest level and it is being kept silence. Shame on them all. Yet they want to talk about kickbacks that happens more then a decade ago. To make a decision on what is taking place now. Give me an asperin. Put back ABLP and we'll keep a keen eye on them this time around.

What more evidence do you want if someone spend US$5mln on a concert and cannot tell you what happened to the money after eight years. What more evidence do you want if someone spent $10Mln on mile of road when it should have cost $1Mln per mile. What more evidence do you want it someone spend $100 million on side walks in town when you look at the sidewalks and cannot see that value of works not in the least. What more evidence do you want if someone spend $40mln on building fences around sporting facilities that cannot in the worst case add up to that. What more evidence do you want if someone spend $600K to build a bathroom in a sporting facility. What more evidence do you want if someone spend US$50Mln and counting on a power plant that doesn't even works after three months. You have the gaul to ask for evidence of wrong doing. Just because CA chooses to onlu focus on the ALP corruption for obvious reasons. Let us not fool ourself. This will also fade away after June 12. Back to work with Labour. We ready to rebuilt the country the middle class and to eliminate poverty that was brought up on us by the wicket UPP government. Vote for change vote for your best interest. Vote for Labour.

That is because people are aware of the worse corruption in the present UPP government that they do not allow to be investigated. They are the top of corruption. What ALP did in 28 years the UPP has manage to do in 10 years and they have even stolen more. And the people have and are suffering badly

Political ignorance can't win wars

#22 Dig It » 2014-06-08 15:48

Totally agreed...you can't fight corruption with corruption. And, we can't fight "full-pledge-partisa n" with "full-pledge-partisa n" in this country! If we as a people can't come to a "consensus" on corruption to get our politicians to be accountable...then there is no way we can come to some/full closure in curbing/stopping corruption. Hopefully, we can come together in unity and have politicians signed a contract on corruption in 2019.
All in all, they are so many "political disparity" in our little island...a corpse or blood is not enough for many of us. Political-ignorance in our politricks will not "progress"our country. Diplomacy wins 'wars' not hatred, envy or bitterness.

It's a shame that people are coming on this site blaming Caribarena.com for reporting to us the horrible crimes that was committed against this nation instead of blaming and holding the people who committed the crimes responsible. The reason they're behaving this way is because they're so embar**ed to hear the shameful things to which the people in whom they've placed their trust are connected. Even if they were to find out that these party leaders committed murder, it would not make any difference to them, because they have already made up their minds to put party before country. So rather than being glad for the news to help them make the decision to stop following them, they get angry at the messenger. But thank God we are not all like that.

All you labour supporters who are claiming that UPP is corrupt in order to confuse the people – prove it. Present evidence, not just what you think or would like to believe. You are just a bunch of evil people trying to justify the Labour party corruption. The people have the tapes to prove it – if you want to hide your head in the sand, you are just as evil at they are. Jump high or jump low you can’t deny what is on the tape. The Labour party will never win an election in Antigua again for the next 20 years. G has already suggested that he can pay a journalist $20.000.00 to say what he want them to say. Did he pay that amount to the Barbadian pollster???

To Mrs. Samuel and her team, congratulations, in becoming Our Nation'$, first female Prime Minister. Stay the course, and, as far, as the marijuana/hemp legalization. The UPP are going no matter what. Why are you wasting time looking at past wrongdoings while ignoring those that have been perpetrated by the current government?

Why haven't they extradited Leroy King? Who are they trying to protect....Mr Cort perhaps? Where are the documents for the WPP which is producing no electricity and has cost this island $47 million. How could the WPP have been purchased without parliamentary approval and what were they trying to hide

What about all the building projects handed out to UPP cronies after the election that have cost this country millions and all we have to show for them is substandard unfinished work where the builders have overcharged by 3 to 3 times what it should have cost.

Past corruption is wrong but open your eyes people its still going on and much worse under the UPP who can't even run the economy!

the best part of this article is the paragraph that states, "To be continued." That's when we will find out the full extent of Gaston's involvement in xx. To the blogger that was wondering if Gaston knew of the monies being hidden in the bank were he worked, well, I think that you are getting your answer loud and clear. Wadedman1, you have the audacity to me mention Mr. Walters name! Well, I have seen the end of common sense. There is no mention thus far as to how much goes to at lease doing something for Antigua, nor the every constituency the represent. Labor all the way me AXX. These mother fathers have no conscious, the have no morals, no soul and most all they have no use for the people of Antigua/Barbuda. Hypocrisy...?

#9 JB » 2014-06-07 08:14

Caribarena is now the epitome of biased journalism. I was in conversation with a colleague of mine and I stated, "I hate hypocrisy!" If your aim is point out and call out corruption then by all means do it! But when you expose corruption by one and then turn a blind eye on corruption by others, I question your credibility, honesty and integrity. It is clear that both political parties are full of some form of kickbacks and filling their pockets with money.
However, the UPP came riding on a white horse, claiming that it would expose corruption, erradicate it and punish those involved in such practices. The PM even went as far as to say, "One strike and you are out." Well I think based on what has been happening around him, within his administration, he really can not count! It's been 10 years and nothing has been publicly investigated, charged or punished, just a bunch of what I have concluded vindictive behavior on their, the UPP, part. Sungu nah bettah dan Lungu! However,I must admit that my life was much more profitable and comfortable with the ALP leadership. And I had a sense of confidence in their abilities to represent me internationally and economically, as opposed to now. As a result of lack of leadership from the UPP and the hypocrisy they exemplify, my mind is made up. Time for a "change"!
