Police Meet with Service Station Operators

Commissioner of Police Vere BrowneAntigua St John's - Commissioner of Police Vere Browne met with service stations operators on Wednesday to discuss improved security and address some of their concerns.

This followed the recent shooting incident at Dee’s Service Station on Airport Road, where 39-year-old Dorothy Prince was shot and killed.

Over 20 service station representatives attended the meeting at Police Headquarters.

Browne assured them that the police would continue do everything in their power, with the assistance of the Antigua &Barbuda Defence Force, to keep their staff and businesses safe.

This would include increased foot and mobile patrols in the areas where these service stations are located.

The commissioner used the opportunity to discuss a better working relationship between the police and the service stations operators, to include more timely information sharing.

Browne told the attendees that their concerns had been duly noted, and that he would seek to address these issues in another forum at a follow-up meeting with them.

I plan to react after the fact and since i am now loading up patrol at service station the killers can do their business on the rest of the island. I will do damage control after the fact and talk a lot but do nothing.
