Cycling Meet Postponed for Elections

Cycling Meet Postponed for ElectionsAntigua St. John's - The Antigua and Barbuda Cycling Association has rescheduled this weekend’s cycling event, the 2014 Matthew’s Auto Parts Bike Race.

A release said this was due to national election events. It said, "The decision was based on a concern for road safety as the various political parties are expected to strengthen their final leg of campaigning which includes motorcades."

The association postponed Sunday’s race to June 22. The association will resume its calendar of activities on June 15 with the hosting of the ABACA Team Time Trial, starting at 2:30 pm at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
