Vanity Fair correspondent George Wayne, who recently came to Antigua and Barbuda as a part of a press trip, May 6-9, has picked the Barbuda as the ideal location for the much anticipated nuptials of Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton.
Wayne who is described as Vanity Fair’s intrepid correspondent and distinguished cultural arbiter, has taken the task upon himself to begin scouting for the ideal, idyllic honeymoon destination for the future royal couple.
In a detailed, entertaining article that was released yesterday in Vanity Fair under the caption “Postcards to William and Kate – from Barbuda,” Wayne describes the Lighthouse Bay as a glorious honeymoon destination where he recently had the opportunity to spend three unforgettable nights.
According to Wayne’s article, “As ardent royalists such as yours truly wait with bated breath for the official announcement of their pending engagement, G.W. discovered the perfect place where he could envision their first few days as husband and wife. It is called Lighthouse Bay Resort—a very private, very secluded, and über-exclusive deluxe property.”
The Vanity Fair story indicates that Prince William’s mother, the late Princess Diana was often a regular at the K Club, a Barbuda high-society outpost. Wayne continues with a detailed description of the tiny island of Barbuda, with its Frigate Bird Sanctuary, pink sand beaches and deserted charm.
